Remembering Piddletrenthide - A Picture Book of Village Memories. ,

Published on 1st November 2015, this book is in A4 format, about 200 pages long and with many photos - several previously unseen by most villagers past and present. There are personal contributed memories. It traces the social history of Piddletrenthide from the end of the 19th century to the present.

Alton Pancras History Project

Formed in 2005 to record the history of all the houses in the village and the people who lived in them.

There is a detailed "Time Line" of the Village History from 891 to Jan 2015 and includes a beautifully illustrated Village Map.

This is a brief description of all dwellings/houses/cottages etc known to have stood in this linear village, and occasionally mentions people known/thought to have lived in them, and an approximate 'date'.


Story of Piddlehinton

The "Story of Piddlehinton" was told in a book published in 1999 by the Piddlehinton Village History group, following a very successful public exhibition the year before and which has been repeated since.
