Piddlehinton Millennium Green

This was created in 2000, after it was realised that there was about to become nowhere in the Village where children and parents could enjoy the benefits of an open field, with the added benefit of the shallow River Piddle passing through.
The Millennium Green is owned and managed by The Piddlehinton Millennium Green Trust (a Registered Charity) on behalf of all the residents of Piddlehinton. Whether you live in the Piddle Valley or visit from beyond anyone can freely enjoy this beautiful open space that is carefully managed to combine the facilities for play and informal recreation with promotion of biodiversity and wildlife interest.
An area has been planted as a wildflower meadow, with an interpretation board nearby. There is a stepped access to the River Piddle and a dipping platform and another interpretation board. There are also Play Structures, picnic tables, 2 permanent barbeques, several bench seats, willow play structures and the "Piddle Pirate" - a former fishing dingy that now stands alongside the river.
The Millennium Green has its own pages on this website, access either from the Home Page Index menu, or via this link.
